The Final Word

When you are happy your work has the readability factor that is so important to its acceptance as good writing (see Critique Services), it will be time to undertake a final clean up of your writing.

Unlike some writers’ services companies, at WordPlay we separate the functions of Critiquing and Editing. We look upon editing as we would look upon putting the final polish on your car. You wouldn’t expect this to be done before the engine has been fully serviced, would you?

We only use WordPlay accredited Editors to complete the final edit of your written work.

Further, we take into consideration what type of work it is that requires editing and assign an editor accordingly. For example, if your work is of a technical nature, perhaps a piece on the mechanics of a motor engine, then we will select an editor who has the closest background and knowledge set to your work.

Our editors will polish your prose, correcting the following language structure:

• Punctuation
• Grammar
• Sentence structure
• Subject/ verb agreement
• Consistent verb tense
• Word usage

Our turnaround time for the editing of your work is a maximum of four weeks, although this is dependent upon length of the work. Works of more than 150,000 words may take longer.
